My name is Sarah Fackrell. I live with my husband Jake, and my three beautiful daughters in Murray. We've lived here for 11 years and love the area. We bought our home as a fixer upper which is why we were able to finish our basement custom for a preschool, with a bathroom and separate entry! It is more of a hobby now and we will probably always be fixing and changing something.
I got my Bachelor's Degree in Elementary Education from Weber State University in 1999. I taught school for 5 years in Granite School District before stopping to stay home with my babies. I earned my level 1 Reading Specialist Endorsement from Utah State University while teaching 2nd grade. I love to share the gift of reading with children.
One of my favorite things about the internet is Facebook. I have a private group for Katydid Preschool where I add only the parents of students in my class. I can post information, reminders, photos, and even Quote of the Day because preK kids say the funniest things. It is so easy to send notes to parents, etc. This has made my job communicating with parents a dream!
I have a
Utah Teaching License,
Murray City Business License and
CPR certification from the Red Cross.
This is our 9th year with Katydid Preschool.
